Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao Chairs the Closing Ceremony of the APEC ACT Corruption Prevention Seminar

On October 16, 2009, the closing ceremony of the APEC ACT Corruption Prevention Seminar was held in Beijing Hotel. Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao chaired and addressed the closing ceremony.

Song said that under the theme, "Applying Anti-Corruption Principles, Preventing Conflicts of Interest", participants had active discussions on how to prevent and punish corruptions through clean government building during the seminar. The exchange and mutual learning increased their mutual understanding and trust and helped them reach broad and important consensus. "We expect that APEC economies could take full advantage of the anti-corruption seminar as a platform and mechanism to continue cooperation on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, and turn the enormous cooperation potentials of the members into concrete anti-corruption results, making new and positive contributions to the healthy and steady social and economic development of the Asia-Pacific region."

Yao Zengke, Vice Minister of Supervision of China, Cui Hairong, deputy head of the National Bureau of Corruption Prevention (NBCP) and Robert Cusick, Director of United States Office of Government Ethics were also present at the closing ceremony.
